What is Hearts & Hands?

Hearts & Hands, Inc. was founded in 1994 to assist low income and disabled homeowners with basic home repairs that are beyond their physical and/or financial capabilities. This charitable organization is made up entirely of volunteers. All Board members are volunteers, all workers are volunteers. Many of our workers are young people of high school and college age. Hearts & Hands does its work predominantly in Montgomery County, Maryland. A majority of this work is in upper Montgomery County - since that's where most of the volunteers live. Thanks to the many volunteers who helped us make successful for Montgomery County, MD for more than a decade! We could NOT have done it without you! We needed help unloading, counting, sorting, and bagging the toys that the Marines delivered to us. Click here for more information on 2007’s campaign. Update: Hearts & Hands will not be coordinating Toys for Tots in 2008. We are passing the Toys baton over to another organization.  Please call the Marines directly for information on receiving Toys.  Please call 301-294-9448 to volunteer at the 2008 distribution site for Montgomery County.  2008 operation will be December 7^th thru December 23^rd.  Thank you!
