Mission Statement

Hearts & Hands, Inc. is a not for profit organization of youth and adults founded in 1994 to assist low income and/or diabled homeowners with basic home repairs that are beyond their physical and/or financial capabilities.

Our present mission statement is as follows:

The mission of Hearts & Hands, Inc. is to go forth as youth and adults to be helping hands within our growing community. Acting in the role of servants, we will support families and individuals in need of assistance with housing, home maintenance, and repair. Hearts & Hands, Inc. may also participate in staffing and assisting other non-profit, community-spirit-building organizations.

The criteria for servicing families or individuals are:

• families or individuals qualifing as low income based on federal guidelines or includes a family member who is either physically handicapped or elderly.
• families or individuals must own the residence to receive services.

We work year round to provide services at no cost to the homeowner. The services we provide include but are not limited to: scraping and painting; general carpentry; general plumbing; general repair work; installing handicapped aids; and clean up of outside premises. Other services may be provided based on the available experiences and resources as determined by volunteer workers.
