- authoring articles for community newspapers
- developing and/or making presentations to civic organizations and other groups
- reviewing applications for assistence
- visiting potential work sites to see what needs to be done and what supplies are needed
- telephoning volunteers about upcoming work days
- bringing lunch for workers on work days
- obtaining any building permits and other documentation
- drawing up plans to be used for construction and obtaining permits
- planning fund-raising activities
- putting together our quarterly newsletter
- work days

message telling us how you'd like to help, or just that you want to help, but
don't know how! Please be sure to include a phone number so we can call you
back!
And/or, you can print out, fill out, and mail us back
our Volunteer Form and we'll get back to you!
- Adult Volunteer Form (for volunteers 18
years of age or older)
- Youth Volunteer Form (for volunteers
under 18 years of age - Community Service Credit available)
- Release of Liability Form
(this says that you will not hold Hearts & Hands responsible if you
happen to get injured while on one of our worksites (a rare occurrence
indeed))

You can also donate to Hearts & Hands via payroll deduction. Hearts & Hands, Inc. is authorized to participate in the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFCNCA). Our organization number is 62608.
Should you have difficulty finding Hearts & Hands, Inc. in the list of organizations available to you via payroll deduction, you can still donate to us by using the "write in" option. All you need is our mailing address (see above).
